Help with Whimsy Bike, and how to tell us when something's wrong.
Get help or report a problem
In the app or on the website, open Settings and choose Report a problem: you can point at the spot on the map that's wrong (a closed path, a missing lane, a bad turn). Or write to us through our contact form. We read everything, and fix map problems in the next update.
Questions
Where does it work?
Greater Victoria, British Columbia: the 13 municipalities from Sooke to Sidney. Routes can't start or end outside it.
Why did it pick this route?
Tap Why this route? on the route card: it shows what the route is made of and why the others lost out. Comfortable leans hardest toward protected lanes and trails; Balanced and Direct trade comfort for distance.
Is it free?
Yes. There's no account, no subscription and no ads.
Why does it want my location?
To start routes from where you are and to guide you turn by turn. Your location stays on your device. The iPhone app only uses it in the background while guidance is running.
How do I delete my data?
Everything Whimsy Bike keeps (your settings, and in the app your saved places) is on your device. Delete the app, or clear this site's data in your browser, and it's gone. We have nothing else to delete.
How old do I need to be?
16 or older, and 16 to 18-year-olds need a parent or guardian's approval. See the age policy.
Something on the map is wrong
Use Report a problem. Bike routes come from OpenStreetMap and city open data; conditions change, so trust your eyes and the signs over the map.
